‘Go Dutch™’ Edam and Gouda

 

Bradbury and Son are pleased to announce the launch of their new branded Dutch cheese ‘Go Dutch™’

 

Following the decline of the UK waxed Edam market by 22% in the last 2 years (Source – TNS superpanel data Feb 09), we have undertaken some consumer panels which have showed that although consumers love Dutch Edam and Gouda, they want more easy to use and versatile products.

 

We have therefore created a branded product which allows the consumer to get their much loved Dutch Edam cheese in format that is modern, affordable and easy to use.

 

‘Go Dutch™’ is authentic Dutch cheese packaged in a stylish, contemporary branded format in both classic unwaxed Edam and Gouda cheese. Most of the UK Dutch cheese market is waxed or rinded cheese which means consumers have to throw away part of the purchase. Edam and Gouda without rind is easier to cut, slice and grate giving consumers a convenient and versatile product.

 

Edam and Gouda is UK favourite when it comes to continental cheese – it’s mild and creamy taste means that it is loved by young and old and it’s versatility for  cutting and melting allows consumers to use it in a variety of different uses and dishes (See our recipes for further details)

 

‘Go Dutch™’ is available in 200g Edam and Gouda blocks with a target retail selling price of around £1.00 giving consumers fantastic value for money. We are also launching 180g slices for Edam and Gouda in the ‘Go Dutch™’ livery.

 

The current 200g style packs are ideal for sale through retail and c-store channels, however we have developed pack for selling through cash and carry chains – Please contact us for more information.
