Nantwich Show 2009:

 

Bradbury & Son have had yet another successful Nantwich cheese show, winning a record amount of awards.

 

With 20 Gold awards, 21 Silver awards and 13 Bronze awards, Bradbury & Son and their suppliers enjoyed a very rewarding show.

 

Bradburys pride themselves on providing the best products available in the market, and this fantastic result enhances their reputation in sourcing and working together with suppliers to bring high quality products to the customer.

Nantwich International Cheese Show is the biggest cheese show in the world, and with competition entries at an all time high, demonstrating the strong support and interest in Cheese, the competition for awards was even higher than usual making Bradburys result even more satisfying.

 

Gold winners included classes such as Best Single Sheep’s Hard Milk Cheese which was won by Bradbury’s Spanish supplier Garcia Baquero with their exquisite Manchego cheese. Single Speciality Soft Cheese with Additives was awarded to David Williams for his unusual and exciting combination of Chocolate & Ginger. David also took two more Gold awards with his Tomato & Pesto and Smoking Goats cheeses.

 

Bradbury & Son’s International suppliers were awarded Gold for Best Dutch, Best Italian and Best Spanish cheeses.

 

Amongst the Silver award winners was Bradburys brand new cheese ‘Nantwich Blue’. This took Single Speciality Soft or Cream Cheese from the UK and also Best New Dairy Product. Other silver winners included Quickes Mild Cheddar and Lynher Dairies Cornish Yarg.

 

Bronze award winners included Quenby Hall Stilton which took three awards including Best Mature Blue Stilton, ASDA Consumer Choice and Branded Semi Rigid Packaging.  

Belton’s Red Leicester also achieved multiple awards. They were awarded Bronze in the Best Farmhouse Traditional Red Leicester and Best Single Red Leicester Block. Their Red Leicester was also awarded Gold in the ASDA Consumer Award Choice, making it an extremely successful entry.

 

With the show now over for another year, Bradburys are enjoying the success with their suppliers and are proud to have such a high number of award winning cheeses amongst their repertoire.
