Nantwich 2008: Richard Paul appointed new Chairman of Nantwich International Cheese Show

Bradbury’s Commercial Director Richard Paul has been appointed Committee Chairman of the Nantwich International Cheese show.

White Stilton and Apricot
Cheddar and Stilton - firm favourites.

Bradburys have always been involved in the Nantwich International Cheese Show as one of its main sponsors alongside well known names such as Tescos and Cathedral City. However, this year, Bradburys have increased their investment in the largest cheese show in the world with Richard moving from his role as a committee member to Chairman, replacing Mark Beavon from Helers who held the post for a number of years.

Richard was nominated to be Chairman in October 2007, and was officially appointed at the meeting of the committee in November 2007.

The show is held in the grounds of Dorfold Hall, just on the edge of Nantwich. Over the years, the show has become increasingly popular with traders, retailers, press and also the general public. So much so, that each year, the marquee that stages the show has had to get bigger and bigger. The show not only attracts people from the North West, but from all over the world. In 2007 there was a record number of entries for the cheese show, 2,250 from 24 different countries. This really is the greatest cheese show in the world and for Richard to be Chairman is not only a great testament to him but also to Bradbury’s as a whole, who will back Richard and help ensure he does his best.

Bradburys have a large area of the marquee dedicated to their cheese market which gets bigger and better every year, and is a must for visitors to the show. The 2008 show is scheduled for Tuesday July 29th (trade & press day) and Wednesday 30th (public day).
