BRC is a technical standard that companies supplying retailer branded food products must adhere to. It is an internationally recognised achievement being accepted by retailers around the world.
BRC audits cover all aspects of a business which impact on food safety, such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), Quality Management Systems, Environmental Standards, Product and Process control and Personnel. Companies are graded on how well it meets all the criteria with an A grade being the highest.
A good BRC grade is a benefit to any business. It provides assurance and confidence for customers. Continuous inspection and corrective actions in key areas throughout the year also ensures that standards remain high.
Our technical team work hard all year round to ensure all areas are of the highest standard. This brilliant result pays tribute to them, as well as the rest of the staff who also work hard to comply with the quality assurances throughout the business.
It is an important accreditation and everyone was very pleased with the outcome, although never in doubt that we would do well.
